INTERVENTION

It is an operation that does not require hospitalization and can be performed under local anesthesia. If it is combined with other interventions, general anesthesia would be necessary.

With this surgery, which uses the liposuction technique, we remove the fat under the jaw and define the mandibular border. The incision is placed under the chin and two other incisions under the ear, so that they are hidden and imperceptible.

POST-OPERATORY

The postoperative period is not painful, only the patient will feel uncomfortable during the period in which he/she must wear a postoperative compression garment (to contain the edema and help the skin adapt to the new contour), which can be a little uncomfortable. You will wear this garment for a week.

The patient returns to his daily activities 3 to 7 days after the operation when the swelling has disappeared.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I see the result of a double chin liposuction?

Although the result can be seen immediately, it is necessary to wait up to 3 months for the swelling to completely disappear and the definitive result to be seen.

How long does the result of a double chin liposuction last?

After puberty, the number of adipocytes does not increase, therefore when we remove fat to remodel an area, there is no possibility that the extracted adipocytes will return to it. Thus, we say that the results will be permanent, as long as the patient does not gain weight considerably.
