Lip Shortening Surgery Result

The results are usually seen quickly. By the time the operation is completed, the changes are visible even if the patient's lip is swollen.

The definitive results will be visible once this swelling has passed. Approximately 1 to 2 weeks. At the beginning the scar is a little noticeable but it is easy to cover with make-up and after some time, the scar (located under the nose) is imperceptible.

What does lip shortening consist of?

Lip surgery is performed on those lips that can be aesthetically improved. Dr. Fernandez Blanco is an expert in this field and his reputation is well known publicly.

Who needs lip shortening?

People with the distance between the base of the nose and the cupid's tubercle too long. There are people who constitutionally have a short space in that area, but with the passage of time and with aging, it is common for this distance to become longer and the upper lip loses volume in the vermilion (the red part of the lip) and thus loses the curvature, which is what makes the cupid's tubercle is projected in youth. Therefore, the result is a flat and long lip that is usually accompanied by peribuccal wrinkles. Then what we get with this intervention is an aesthetic rejuvenation of the lip.
