Some people show more gum than usual when they smile. This is known as "gummy smile" and for many people it is a cosmetic problem.
This aesthetic defect has an easy solution and can be addressed in two ways: With a small infiltration of neuromodulators we can slow down the muscles of the upper lip to prevent the gum from showing. It can also be combined with a filling treatment of the upper lip so that enlarging its size hides the gum.
